Ran from the house, out Creek Road, and almost to the Covered Bridge. Stopped at the CSB on the way back and stretched the hamstring a bit. Did some strides there and finished up. Good quality long run. A good deal of it was under 6:30 pace. Marathon miles, baby!

Welcome to the blog! I think so far you have the most raw speed of anybody here. I can only imagine what is going to happen if you could put it to use in the marathon. If I had your speed and my endurance, I'd get the world record or close in the marathon.

Nice quote from Churchill.

Great Christmas except for the freezing cold rain. Excellent game by the Eagles. Off to Ohio tomorrow...

Poorly planned day with travel to Ohio, but it's my first day off in about 10 days, so at least the frequency of days off is coming down. Had to leave to the airport earlier than expected. Probably try to hit up some 600's tomorrow on the track at Natalie's high school.

Run in Lebanon, OH. Most of it with Natalie plus a little bit afterwards. Despite a day full of horrible travel experiences yesterday, my legs felt decent.

Did some stretching afterwards for the first time in a long time.

Two sets of 3 600's at the Lebanon HS track in about 1:42-1:44 with 200 jog between reps, 200 walk between sets. This felt really hard for some reason. Did some good drills beforehand.

Also got my plan from Paul today which starts on the 31st. Pretty excited to get going with the serious training but am enjoying the last few days of Christmas season over-eating.

I find that travel is very hard on me. I still eat healthy, and try to get the same amount of sleep, but when I start running I notice I am not quite feeling as fresh. Perhaps it is the stress of having to pack, and being away from home in general.

Out to the bridge on Rittenhouse, out past the field house on South College, to the bike path and back on Delaware Ave/Main Street in 1:09. Strength work and stretching.

Ran 1:45 out at the park. Started at the Pavillion, ran down the blue trail and out to the Ranger Station, up around Possum Hill loop, back down, and up via the trail at the corner of Wedgewood Road that spit me out at some Knoll place that fortunately wasn't too far from where I parked.

My legs felt pretty crappy, but I rewarded myself with a 12 inch turkey sub and pink lemonade at Nick and Joe's on the way home. Tomorrow is the first day of the program.

11 miles all right around 6:30. Ran from home out Creek Road where I timed a few miles at 6:27-6:34, out around the road past Wedgewood, and back. Strengthwork and stretching.
